India has more great phones than ever, at every price. The right one depends less on raw speed, since every phone here is fast, and more on the camera you want, how long the battery lasts, and how many years of updates you will get.
How we chose
We compared performance, cameras, battery and charging, screen quality, water resistance and, importantly, how long each brand promises software and security updates. We favoured phones that are easy to buy and service in India.
What to look for
- Updates: a phone that gets updates for 6 to 7 years stays secure and resells better. Pixel and Samsung lead here.
- Camera: a telephoto (zoom) lens makes the biggest difference for portraits and distant shots. The Pixel 10, Galaxy S25 Ultra and even the Nothing Phone (3a) have one; the iPhone 17 does not.
- Battery and charging: OnePlus leads with a 6000 mAh battery and 100 W charging. Check that a charger is in the box, as many brands no longer include one.
- Water resistance: IP68 survives rain and accidental dunks. IP64 handles splashes only.
- Storage: none of these phones take a memory card, so buy the storage you will need for the next few years.

자주 묻는 질문
Which is the best phone in India for most people?
For most people the OnePlus 13 is the best value: flagship performance, a big battery and very fast charging for much less than Samsung or Apple flagships. If you are on a tighter budget, the Nothing Phone (3a) is the best mid-range pick.
How many years of updates should a phone get?
Look for at least four to five years. Google's Pixel 10 and Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra promise seven years, and iPhones are usually supported for six years or more, so they stay secure and useful for longer.
Is 128 GB storage enough?
For light use, yes. If you shoot a lot of 4K video or keep many photos offline, choose 256 GB, because most of these phones have no memory card slot.
