Safe drinking water starts with knowing what comes out of your tap. The right purifier depends on your water source and its TDS (total dissolved solids), not on how many stages a purifier advertises.
How we chose
We compared purification technology, tank size, mineral retention and, importantly, the brand’s service network, because a purifier is only as good as its last filter change.
What to look for
- Your water source: borewell or tanker water usually needs RO. Municipal water with low TDS usually needs only UV or UF.
- TDS control or mineraliser: keeps the water tasting good and retains useful minerals.
- Tank size: 7 to 8 litres covers a family of 4 to 5 through power cuts.
- Service: check the cost of annual maintenance plans and filter replacements before you buy.
- Water wastage: RO purifiers send some water to drain. Collect it for mopping or plants.

Pertanyaan umum
Do I need an RO purifier?
Only if your water has high TDS (dissolved salts), which is common with borewell and tanker water. Check the TDS with a cheap meter or ask your installer to test it. Water above about 300 to 500 ppm benefits from RO; low-TDS municipal water usually only needs UV or UF.
Does RO remove useful minerals?
RO removes most dissolved minerals along with the harmful ones. That is why both picks add minerals back: KENT with a TDS controller and Aquaguard with Active Copper and mineral boosting.
How often should I service a water purifier?
Usually once or twice a year, or as the purifier's filter-life alert says. Replacing filters on time matters more than the brand you buy.
